About        Our Middle School

We believe that all children can succeed
 in a safe and challenging
that is dedicated to nurturing lifelong learners. By fostering a community with high expectations, modeling characteristics of responsible citizenship, and focusing on the development of the entire person, we believe we will help create a great school for all children.
Kestrel's mission is that we are a school that provides an environment where academics are emphasized, children are encouraged to excel and perform at their maximum potential and that in turn promotes creativity and excellence in accordance with the Paideia Principles.

We need to fill up our KHS food bank! The food bank supports our Hawk Pack program which provides nutrition for students over weekends, holidays, and breaks. Our most needed items include: pasta, sauce, canned vegetables, individual oatmeal packs, granola bars, fruit cups, peanut butter, canned fish and chicken, and individual microwave meals like Easy Mac, Chef Boyardee, and soup. You may drop off your donations at the main office. We are also looking for sponsors for our backpack program - if you would like to sponsor a backpack on a monthly basis, please contact our school social worker, Crissy Schmieder at schmieder@kestrelheights.org or extension 331.

Message from Mrs. Schmieder: Thank you to everyone that has returned Hawk Pack sign-up forms. I am working on gathering donations to fill the pantry and preparing for the program to start. I will be in touch with everyone in the near future and expect to have Hawkpacks ready to FLY mid September. If you have any specific needs or questions please reach out to me at schmieder@kestrelheights.org
